Prana is a company that has over 15 years of experience in the field of air treatment and energy saving. The company itself has designed and manufactured a wide range of high-tech products in line with the market trends. The devices proposed by Prana are aimed at satisfying every type of demand in the field of mechanical ventilation with automation systems capable of satisfying the principles of low environmental impact and high energy savings.

The term ‘prana’ represents the vital energy present in the air, an indispensable element for life. The air is composed of ions, anions, oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Prana has taking into account the physiological needs of a human for each of these elements and as such has designed its products in line with these needs. The first engineers who worked there managed to shape this ventilation system and patented it with the aim of improving the climatic conditions of a limited environment, considering the basic mechanical principle of human respiration.
The company participated in the first international Bauhaus SOLAR ERFURT conference (Germany, 2008) where it presented the concept of “bioenergetic comfort" through the PRANA ventilation system and the Ecotemp thermal insulation and soundproofing systems. Patented solutions for the ventilation system were presented to the public and today have no equivalents in the world.
In 2010, ventilation systems, façade and interior wall insulation systems and all the other products that PRANA proposes were presented at the international building industry exhibitions in Rzeszow (Poland, September 2010) and Wroclaw (Poland, December 2010 ) as well as the exhibition on energy efficiency in Graz (Austria, 2007), where they were recognized as the best product.

How it’s done and how it works

The body of the Prana recuperators is cylindrical and must be placed through a wall from side to side through a hole of equal diameter and length. The entire core is therefore hidden in the wall; to be visible on the external and internal façade there are the terminals that project for a few centimetres. This cylindrical body contains the heart of the recuperator that is the copper exchanger. Copper is an element that by its nature has the property of charging the air with negative ions, which have a beneficial effect on health, thus treating the air. This exchanger comprises series of separate channels between them; the stale air that is sucked from the closed environment passes through these channels that expel it. While other ducts suck the air from outside and treat it thanks to copper, the heat taken from the inside is retained and mixed with clean air; it is thus reintroduced, clean and warm, into the closed environment. The temperature does not create temperature changes but is adjusted to adapt to the average internal climate. This state-of-the-art system also makes it possible to preserve the ionic composition and the natural energy charge of the air.


Even today, Prana continues to search for innovative solutions for high energy efficiency and cost saving ventilation. The company has come to produce the 4th generation of recuperators (Controlled Mechanical Ventilation) and its name has become synonymous with healthy air of adequate temperature indoors. Designers and engineers continuously carry out tests and checks employing climatic laboratories to analyse and develop new models to be introduced to the market that give a new answer to the needs linked to different climatic conditions of dissimilar environments: offices, schools, hospitals, shops, industries, gyms and pools, villas and apartments. Today, PRANA decentralized ventilation systems are considered among the best ones in the world. We will keep growing and improving to give our and future generations clean and healthy air, in full respect of the environment and with an eye always turned towards the concept of sustainability.
